FLASH

These are some experiments I created using Macromedia Flash (MX and MX 2004) in my free time. Most of the code is original. I say most, because I may find something I like in a forum or flash site and turn it into something else.
My sources of inspiration are bit-101, arseiam, were-here, leviated... well, too many to list here.

My first isometric experiment. Click on the red squares to make them "pop".

Second isometric experiment. This one has a sine wave applied to every square with an offset so it sort of looks like it is bouncing.

Falling snow example. The snow leaves a trace when it hits the floor or some other object. Also pretty CPU intensive after a while.

Use your mouse to uncover the hidden image. (Sounds so much more exciting than the what it really is)

This is a modified version of one of Edwin's experiments. See the originals at Poetic Terror. Thank to Edwin for letting me look at his source code.

Really cool drawing of a flower. Entirely made in actionscript.

Have you ever walked naked in a shopping mall?

These guys move around randomly leaving a trace. If you leave it running, it can be pretty CPU intensive in older computers.

Another take on random movement.

Everyone makes one of these sooner or later. It just happens that way. Use the arrows to move around and the space bar to shoot.

Experiments on behaviours. I found a very basic "follow" behaviour code on a forum and made it a little bit more sophisticated. This mouse will wander around aimlessly till the chees comes into its field of view. It will follow it until it reaches it or you move the mouse away.

Stupid little game where you have to make the people dance to make the bar on top grow (whatever that means).

Pseudo 3D rotation of textfields using alpha to emulate depth.

A menu system created using one of bit-101's creatures. This one was fun to do. You can drag it, throw it, and make it bounce off the walls.

Simple collision testing and gravity experiment.

I was amazed when I saw the experiments at Orisinal. Specially the ones with exploding pixel fonts. I got tired of this one two minutes after it was done. :(

An example of a space shuttle lander.

Simple shooter. Try to hit the target.

Simple actionscripted animation to show dynamically attached movieclips. Code and comments in spanish.

Experiment on making several movieclips follow the mouse. If you ever had a notebook with Windows, then you've seen this one.
